Global Internship Program – Embedded Software Commercialization

Want to gain global experience and make a real impact in software commercialization? Our Global Internship Program gives you the best of both worlds - a global project and a local internship.

As a participant you’ll be part of a global project within the Industrial Technique Business Area, where you join a diverse group of talented students from around the world to collaborate virtually on a business challenge together, tackling real challenges that impact our business. You’ll also take part in exclusive learning sessions with senior leaders, both virtually and on-site and receive mentorship and access to internal training programs to accelerate your professional growth.

Parallel to the global activities, you will work part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer within Embedded Software Commercialization at Atlas Copco Industrial Technique Business Area.

In this role you will explore the future of software as a service. In this internship, you’ll assess the feasibility of offering Atlas Copco’s control-unit software as a SaaS solution, benchmark competitors, and manage international interactions with key automotive customers. Experience from similar projects in industries like fintech is a plus.

This is your chance to take an exciting insight in working with embedded software commercialization while developing skills that will boost your career.

On top of this you’ll have the opportunity to write a master’s thesis in spring 2027 with Atlas Copco Group.

Who are we looking for?

  • You’re in your 4th year at a Swedish university, preferably in Engineering, Industrial Economics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or Sustainability
  • You plan to write your master’s thesis in spring 2027.
  • You communicate fluently in English.
  • You’re curious, proactive, and motivated
  • Available to work full-time in summer and approx. 10–20 hours/week during spring and autumn.
  • You live in the Stockholm region and can work partly on-site at our headquarters in Sickla, Nacka.

What you get

  • A unique mix of global collaboration and local responsibility.
  • Practical experience at Atlas Copco Group while completing your studies.
  • Build an international network and gain insights into how a global industrial leader operates.
  • Professional training and personal coaching.
  • The chance to write your master’s thesis in an international environment.
  • Insights to cross functional teams such as R&D, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Hourly compensation during the internship.

Location: Nacka, Sweden
